French Class

Technology Classes

Mr. Petersen's Graphic Design, IT Fundamentals, and Web Design students are working hard learning skills for in-demand emerging technology careers.  Even if students are not interested in pursuing careers in these areas, the software, troubleshooting skills, and experience will make them marketable in any career.  Graphic Design students have finished their identity design section, and are now learning about typography.  Recent projects have included vintage-style postcards, and inspirational quote prints.  Students are really starting to learn Adobe Photoshop and are doing great at paying attention to detail of their work to make them "pixel perfect."

IT Fundamental students have learned about computer hardware and components by designing a computer build for a purpose of their choice.  They then have moved on to learning about Operating Systems and software.  Students are working on a comparative analysis of Windows, Linux, and macOS.

NPHS Web Design  class is the largest it has been in recent memory.  It is great to see many students taking an interest in learning a skill that can help employment at any business.  The class is offered as high school credit as well as dual credit through MPCC.  Students have been learning basics of html, and are getting close to learn how to design their pages using CSS.
